Scale-renormalized matrix-product states for correlated quantum systems.

چکیده
A generalization of matrix product states (MPS) for interacting quantum systems in two and three dimensions is introduced. These scale-renormalized matrix-product states (SR-MPS) are based on a coarse graining of the lattice in which the blocks at each level are associated with matrix products that are further transformed (scale renormalized) with other matrices before they are assembled to form blocks at the next level. Using the two-dimensional transverse-field Ising model as a test, it is shown that the SR-MPS converge much more rapidly with the matrix size than a standard MPS. It is also shown that the use of lattice symmetries speeds up the convergence very significantly.

Time-Dependent Real-Space Renormalization Group Method
In this paper, using the tight-binding model, we extend the real-space renormalization group method to time-dependent Hamiltonians. We drive the time-dependent recursion relations for the renormalized tight-binding Hamiltonian by decimating selective sites of lattice iteratively. The formalism is then used for the calculation of the local density of electronic states for a one dimensional quant...

The Density Matrix Renormalization Group (DMRG) was developed by White [1, 2] in 1992 to overcome the problems arising in the application of real-space renormalization groups to quantum lattice many-body systems in solid-state physics. Since then the approach has been extended to a great variety of problems in all fields of physics and even in quantum chemistry. The numerous applications of DMR...

The effect of increasing quantum bits and Unruh effect on quantum Prisoners’ dilemma has been investigated for both entangled and unentangled initial states. The Nash equilibrium, as an important result of quantum game theory, was obtained through the different payoffs resulted from choosing various strategies. It has been shown that the non-inertial frame disturbs the symmetry of the game. Act...
متن کاملMatrix product operators, matrix product states, and ab initio density matrix renormalization group algorithms.
Current descriptions of the ab initio density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) algorithm use two superficially different languages: an older language of the renormalization group and renormalized operators, and a more recent language of matrix product states and matrix product operators. The same algorithm can appear dramatically different when written in the two different vocabularies. In t...

Time-dependent matrix product states (time-dependent DMRG) has developed into a very powerful tool for the simulation of the evolution of strongly correlated quantum systems far from equilibrium. However, its scope is limited by the effective restriction to onedimensional systems as well as to relatively short times due to dynamical entanglement growth. In this talk, I want to show how a combin...
